Network & Optimization Analytics Manager

• You are responsible for the development and implementation of advanced data science and machine learning models to optimize operational and logistical processes within the bpost network.
• You contribute to building predictive and optimization algorithms to address business challenges such as volume prediction, network design, dynamic routing, and resource planning.
• You help define the strategic roadmap of data use cases, focusing on initiatives that create maximum value for the organization.
• You translate complex data analyses into clear insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You lead a team of data scientists and analysts, ensuring knowledge sharing and professional growth within the team.
• You work closely with business and IT teams to integrate data science solutions into bpost's operational systems.
• You are the driving force behind innovative projects involving data, AI, and machine learning, with a focus on value creation for bpost.
• You act as an ambassador of a data-driven culture within the organization and serve as a strategic sparring partner for key projects.

• You hold a master's degree, engineering degree, or PhD in data science, operational research, applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a similar field.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics, preferably in a logistics or industrial context.
• You have excellent experience in people management, particularly in leading and coaching a team of data scientists or analysts.
• You have strong expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and statistical analysis, and a good knowledge of Python. Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies is a plus.
• You are familiar with various cloud platforms.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and are able to translate complex analyses into understandable business insights and recommendations.
• You communicate fluently in Dutch, French, and English.
