Job Title: Supplier Development Engineer

Location: Lontzen, Belgium

Work model: Full-time, On-site

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Supplier Development Engineer to strengthen the performance, value, and reliability of our global supplier network. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement, ensure suppliers support business goals, and enable successful launches of new products and processes.

This role involves supplier assessments, improvement planning, travel for supplier audits, and collaboration with engineering and product teams to ensure product quality and strong supplier capability. It suits someone analytical, resourceful, and motivated to create meaningful operational impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and audit suppliers to evaluate capability, performance, and quality.
• Drive improvement programs with measurable results and track progress.
• Support flawless new product and process launches.
• Identify cost and value opportunities through supplier audits.
• Travel for on-site supplier assessments and performance reviews.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address supply or product development challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in a technical or related field.
• 4+ years experience in Quality or Process Engineering.
• Experience applying structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Availability for regular travel (domestic and occasional international).
• Experience in electronics or power-related industries and auditing certifications are advantageous.
• Good communication skills in English.

For SDE, for now, we are not providing relocation package and we are prioritizing people on the surrounding areas that would be open to relocate or to commute (it's very common there).
