Ageas Re

Ageas Re is organized as a Business Unit within ageas SA/NV, the Group holding, on whose balance sheet it underwrites third-party and intra-group reinsurance under the trade name Ageas Re.

Your function

  • Process and validate reinsurance data received from ceding companies and brokers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Manage and reconcile technical accounts in SAP FS-RI, including premium and claims allocations.
  • Calculate retrocession premiums and related technical accounts in line with the contractual terms, and assist in preparing relevant documentation such as statement of accounts.
  • Arrange payments, monitor outstanding balances, and resolve discrepancies with business partners.
  • Effectively collect reinsurance recoveries.
  • Support monthly and quarterly financial closing activities.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients, providing clarification and follow-up on accounts, conditions, and payments with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate with Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants, presenting reinsurance technical accounting matters clearly and effectively.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, projects, and working groups.

Your profile

  • Solid understanding of (re)insurance principles and technical accounting practices.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a reinsurance company, insurance company, or broker environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with SAP FS-RI is a strong plus.
  • High accuracy in working with figures, a critical mindset to validate data, and technical mindset with a drive to improve processes and workflows.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, intercultural competence, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Full professional proficiency in English. Spanish and/or German is a plus.
