Today, we are looking for a (Electro) Mechanical Technician to strengthen our team.

Job Description

Our new colleague will be responsible for one (or more) of our 50 research facilities. He/she will participate in various research and development tests on the facility (device) assigned to him/her.

More specifically, daily tasks may include:

  • Conducting wind tunnel tests
  • Assembling, preparing and setting up test devices (including instrumentation and calibration in collaboration with the manager)
  • Organizing and supervising modifications to dedicated facilities, taking into account applicable safety and quality standards.
  • Assisting with the maintenance, repair and operation of facilities.
  • Reporting technical problems to the coordinator and proposing solutions.
  • Providing technical support to experimental researchers (interns, Research Master's candidates, research engineers and PhD students)
  • Submitting purchase requests and writing purchase orders as needed
  • Ensuring the organization and cleanliness of the work environment.

Job requirements

  • Technical degree in (electro-)mechanics (professional bachelor's degree) or equivalent through experience.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance and equipment repair
  • Good knowledge of technical drawings and electromechanics
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good team spirit in an international working environment
  • French or Dutch is required. English is a plus.
