I.T. Technician


Job Purpose:       

To support all users on the Brydens network as it relates to hardware, software and network peripherals, and to maintain standards of performance as outlined by the Group Information Technology Manager.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Provides support to all users on all hardware related issues
  • Provides support to all users on software related issues on all version of Microsoft Windows: Microsoft Office, Adobe, Fortinet Antivirus and IBM iSeries Client Access
  • Troubleshoots PC, cabling and connectivity issues
  • Provides information technology support for testing and repairing systems
  • Supports the IP phone handset and system
  • Maintains and supports the S2K WMS RF handhelds and access points
  • Maintains and supports the S2K Mobile tablets

Knowledge and Experience:

  • A minimum of five (5) O' Level, including Mathematics, English and Information Technology
  • Network and Technician certification - A+, Network+, MCSE or other
  • Tertiary-level education in Information Technology would be an asset
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in a similar networking environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and other related software
