With our business booming, we're on the hunt for a Sales Manager / Head of Sales to drive our sales efforts and build the function from the ground up

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Planning:

  • Design and execute the overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market expansion
  • Develop quarterly and annual sales plans, forecasts, and pipeline management frameworks
  • Define target market segments, ideal customer profiles, and go-to-market strategies
  • Set sales KPIs, metrics, and reporting systems to track performance and optimize processes
  • Build scalable sales processes, playbooks, and infrastructure to support future team growth

Hands-On Sales Execution:

  • Lead generation and qualification: Personally identify, pursue, and close high-value opportunities
  • Client solutions: Engage directly with prospects to understand their needs and deliver custom solutions that enhance their products
  • Full sales cycle ownership: Handle everything from initial prospecting through contract negotiation and closing strategic deals (100K+)
  • Build compelling business cases with key stakeholders across C-suite and technical leadership roles
  • Manage and nurture the entire sales pipeline independently

Business Development & Market Presence:

  • Represent the company at international exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows to generate leads and strengthen customer relationships
  • Establish strategic partnerships and channel relationships to accelerate growth
  • Stay ahead of market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategy

Future Team Building:

  • Lay the foundation for scaling the sales organization as business grows
  • Define hiring plans and team structure for future expansion
  • Develop onboarding materials and training programs for future sales hires
Profile
  • Educational Background: Degree in industrial or civil engineering, or business with strong technical aptitude
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer, or ability to quickly master technical concepts
  • Sales Experience: 5+ years in technical sales with proven track record of independently managing the full sales cycle and closing enterprise deals (100K+)
  • Strategic & Hands-On: Comfortable designing strategy while personally executing all sales activities
  • Solo Performer with Leadership Vision: Proven ability to work independently and drive results while having the vision to build and scale a team in the future
  • Deal Closer: Confident leading complex sales cycles and negotiations with technical and executive stakeholders
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced scale-up environment, wearing multiple hats and building from scratch
  • Hunter DNA: Strong prospecting instincts with a hunter mentality to drive new business
  • Builder Mentality: Excited about creating processes, systems, and eventually a team as the business grows
  • Team Player: Collaborative, motivated, eager to learn, and highly organized
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages are a strong asset
  • Travel Ready: Willing to travel internationally for client meetings, conferences, and trade shows (2-3+ times/year)
