We are seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Operational Technology (OT) Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on integrating Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) technologies, MQTT-based architectures, and data analytics to optimize water treatment processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for industrial automation, networking, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain IIoT and MQTT communication architectures in water treatment environments.
- Develop and support OT infrastructure, including industrial networks, PLCs, SCADA systems, and edge devices.
- Integrate sensor data, industrial protocols, and cloud-based solutions to enhance data collection and visibility.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure and scalable OT systems.
- Optimize data acquisition, processing, and visualization for real-time analytics and decision-making.
- Troubleshoot and support existing OT systems, identifying and resolving communication or performance issues.
- Work with cross-functional teams to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives and digital transformation efforts.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimal bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
- Knowledge of MQTT, OPC UA, Profinet, and other industrial communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, PLC programming, and industrial networking.
- Familiarity with edge computing, cloud integration, and data analytics platforms.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or other data-handling technologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition, Node-RED, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications in industrial settings.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture.
