Job Description
Our immigration team is part of a dynamic and expanding practice. The department focuses on advising and supporting our clients with Belgian immigration matters all whilst driving technical excellence and client proximity. This role focuses on supporting our client's employees with their immigration needs while ensuring full compliance with Belgian immigration laws and regulations. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional client service, whether working on a global account or for a local Belgian client. The caseworker will be responsible for managing immigration procedures, ensuring compliance, and driving successful outcomes for all parties involved.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Collaborating closely with clients, colleagues, legal teams, government authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient immigration processes.
  • You are responsible for the day-to-day deliverables of your clients which involves advisory around inbound and outbound immigration and social security formalities, as well as compliance assistance to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • You act as the primary contact for corporate clients seeking immigration support, understanding their unique needs and developing tailored plans.
  • You support the engagement team in providing excellent client service.
  • Manage the end-to-end immigration process, including visa applications and work permits.
  • Prepare, review, and submit immigration documents, advising clients on processes, timelines, and potential risks.
  • Maintain organized case files, monitor immigration rule changes, and liaise with consulates, embassies, and authorities.
  • Provide regular client updates, address inquiries, and handle unexpected issues professionally.
  • Support commercial aspects by tracking time, assisting with billing, and recognizing scope changes.
  • Stay up to date with immigration laws, regulations, and technology relevant to the service line.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration or Commerce.
  • A growth mindset and willingness to learn new processes and technologies
  • The ability to work effectively across cultures and communicate efficiently
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, good organisation skills and mature.
  • Fluent in English, as well as Dutch or French.
  • A client-focused approach and the ability to build lasting client relationships
  • Accuracy, good writing skills as well as a practical and hands-on attitude.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic and multi-cultural environment.
  • Drive and dynamism that contributes to the team spirit.
  • Teamplayer, yet self-motivated to drive activities to completion.
