We are supporting a major life sciences engineering programme in Belgium and are
urgently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical / AVI Engineer
to join the team for a long-term assignment.

The Role

You will be a senior engineering lead on the
installation, integration and qualification
of a next-generation Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) machine arriving onsite in April.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing mechanical & electrical interfaces
• Machine integration & site readiness
• Leading DQ / IQ / OQ activities
• Coordinating with vendors & suppliers
• Monthly visits to the machine manufacturer in Italy
• Supporting testing, acceptance & qualification
• Training local maintenance teams
• Working closely with on-site engineering & visual inspection experts

Hybrid working:
2–3 days onsite weekly + remote documentation days.

Once the machine is installed,
minimum 3 days onsite
will be required.

Ideal Profile

To be considered, you must have:

• 10+ years engineering experience
  (Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or similar)
• Strong, hands-on expertise with
  AVI / IVI systems
• Deep experience with automated machinery, high-precision equipment or optical inspection
• Demonstrated background in
  pharma, med device or high-spec automotive machinery
• Experience with
  machine qualification
  (DQ / IQ / OQ)
• Ability to manage vendors, suppliers, and interface coordination
• Advantageous: knowledge of
  AI, digital twins, data qualification
• Ability to travel monthly to Italy for build follow-up & testing
