Are you passionate about turning complex, disparate data into clear, actionable insights? As a Senior Data Engineer at Melexis, you will play a key role in enabling our business to make smarter, faster decisions.

This role is not just about building pipelines; it's about partnering directly with business teams to understand their data challenges and collaborate on solutions. You'll take ownership of our data's journey, centralizing and unifying data from a multitude of systems into our secure, hybrid-cloud environment.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Engineering clean, reliable data: Designing and building robust data pipelines to gather and process diverse datasets, transforming them into a consistent, usable format.
• Solving business problems with data: Collaborating closely with stakeholders across the company to understand their needs and provide them with the clean, reliable data they need for critical reports, dashboards, and advanced analysis.
• Help build out the future of our data architecture: Playing a pivotal role in designing and developing our state-of-the-art data infrastructure, ensuring it can scale to meet future demands.

Your Profile

• You are a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical foundation and a passion for business impact.
• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or Engineering (or equivalent experience), with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
• You have proven experience in data processing and ETL using technologies like PySpark, SQL, and Databricks.
• You have hands-on Python programming skills and experience with structured and unstructured datasets.
• You are experienced in cloud computing (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• You possess excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data challenges into clear solutions and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
