Legal Research Intern


The AMAL Podcast
is a nonprofit initiative committed to advancing legal education and social justice by creating accessible, engaging, and thought-provoking content for a global audience. Through interviews, research, and discussion, AMAL aims to make law more approachable and to highlight diverse perspectives within the legal field.

We are now seeking a
Legal Research Intern
to join our team. This is a non-remunerated role requiring a commitment of approximately 5 hours per week, offering a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on potential guests for podcast episodes, with a focus on legal education and key developments in the legal field
  • Identify key discussion points to keep conversations engaging and relevant
  • Monitor current trends and news in law and education to inform podcast content
  • Assist with outreach and communication with guests, collaborators, and partners
  • Provide administrative and organizational support related to podcast production and growth
  • Explore potential collaborations and sponsorship opportunities with law firms and organisations

Qualifications:

  • Preferably a Master of Laws (LL.M.) student
  • Demonstrated interest in legal education, social justice, and podcasting
  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in preparing research summaries and memos
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with podcast production (or a willingness to learn)
  • Availability to dedicate approx. 5 hours per week
