We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to support a landmark industrial development in the Port of Antwerp. This multi-billion euro initiative is one of the most significant petrochemical investments in Europe in recent decades, focused on cutting-edge technologies and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate E&I engineering activities across various phases of construction and commissioning.
- Interface with multidisciplinary teams including civil, mechanical, and process engineering to ensure seamless integration of electrical and instrumentation systems.
- Review and validate contractor designs, ensuring compliance with European standards and site-specific specifications.
- Support FAT/SAT procedures, loop checks, and commissioning of high-voltage and low-voltage systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are upheld throughout all phases of the project.
- Provide technical input during troubleshooting and resolution of site issues.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in large-scale petrochemical or industrial projects, ideally within the Antwerp region.
- Strong knowledge of European electrical standards and instrumentation practices.
- Ability to work independently and liaise effectively with contractors and client representatives.
- Fluent in English; Dutch or German is a plus.
- Valid EU work permit or freelance registration.
