Ghent office (hybrid 2/3days per week)

A leading international company in the chemical and manufacturing sector is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join its HR operations team in Ghent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured, people-focused environment and wants to make a real impact on employee experience. From the company's EU hub, you will work with colleague across the EMEA region.

What You'll Do:

• Own and optimize payroll processes for Belgian operations
• Manage relationships with external payroll and benefits providers
• Administer and improve employee benefit programs
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in Belgian payroll and benefits
• Strong knowledge of local labour laws and payroll systems
• Experience working with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT)
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable handling confidential data
• Familiarity with parity rules and international payroll exposure is a plus
• Languages: Flemish and English needed
