For an innovative program focused on operational excellence, we’re looking for a Dutch speaking AI Engineer who can transform complex documentation workflows into intelligent, automated information systems.

💡 About the project

Every infrastructure project delivers mountains of technical documents, manuals, and images. However, extracting real value from them remains a challenge.

Your mission: design and prototype AI-based solutions that turn these static files into structured, usable insights.

You will:

• Build a proof of concept that automatically reads and categorizes technical documents and images.
• Extract key parameters to enrich the organization’s machine database.
• Link technical manuals to assets and convert them into structured maintenance instructions.
• Explore mobile, geo-based, or tag-based retrieval of maintenance procedures in the field.
• Investigate the use of voice assistants for technician feedback and maintenance reporting.

🔍 Your role

As the AI Engineer, you will:

• Audit the current document-handling process and identify automation opportunities.
• Design and implement AI-assisted workflows using NLP, computer vision, and machine learning.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to validate use cases and demonstrate measurable value.
• Deliver a proof of concept that brings intelligent document and image processing to life.

🧠 Your profile

You’re an engineer with a passion for applied AI, combining strong technical ability with curiosity for how technology can transform real-world operations.

You bring:

• Solid experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning
• Knowledge of Document & Image Processing (OCR, NLP, vision models, computer vision, etc.)
• Understanding of business process management & re-engineering
• A pragmatic, result-driven mindset
• Dutch: full professional proficiency
• English: good working knowledge
