Junior Consultant in Communication


For our Brussels office, we are looking for a:

Junior Consultant in Communication

38 hours per week

What will you do?

  • Assist (senior) consultants in developing communication and social media strategies for European and international clients;
  • You should be comfortable using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X, developing content, managing accounts, and posting regular contents
  • Support (senior) consultants with communication and public affairs activities; desk research, interviews, preparing meetings/presentations, making minutes, and organising conference calls
  • Help coordinate and deliver communication events like conferences, workshops, and webinars, including stakeholder outrech, speaker coordination, agenda setting, registration management and logistics
  • Help strengthen institutional relations (PR activities)
  • Monitor EU policy and media developments to identify visibility and engagement opportunities for us and our clients
  • Provide administrative support to the Brussels team and be involved in various communication activities

At our Brussels office, you'll be part of a dedicated, international Public Affairs & Communication team that blends strategic thinking with practical execution. We work together to help clients develop and implement communication and public affairs strategies for European and international organisations. You will contribute to projects at the intersection of sustainability, innovation, and EU policy, helping translate complex topics into impactful and accessible communication.

As a team, we collaborate closely, share knowledge, and support one another to deliver high-quality communication and public affairs projects.

We are looking for someone who not only brings strong skills and the capacity to take ownership of projects, but also has a commercial mindset to identify opportunities and drive results. Everyone contributes ideas, takes initiative, and plays a part in shaping outcomes that promote a healthy and sustainable future.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Communication with a driven passion for agriculture or food, or a Bachelor's or Master's in agriculture or food, with proven experience in communication
  • 2 to 3 years of professional experience; experiene in consulting is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to craft compelling content for an EU audience
  • Strong organizational an timemanagement skills, and great attention to detail. Event organisation experience is an asset
  • Team spirit, bringing excellent social and networking skills, a hands-on approach, flexibility and a solution driven mindset
  • Proficiency in social media management tools, communication strategies and digital tools
  • Knowledge or experience with website content management (non-programming)
  • A high level of written and spoken English. Proficiency in French and Dutch is an asset, as is knowledge of any other language
