Expert Test Engineer

Context:

A major public infrastructure organization is seeking an Expert Test Engineer to support multiple projects within its Signalling Design Platform, particularly those related to the European Train Control System (ETCS). The role is embedded in a small Agile team and involves both manual and automated testing of Java-based applications. This is a long-term opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that adhere to strict quality, safety, and cybersecurity standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with international norms such as ISO 9001, EN 50.128, and ISO 27001 (NIS).

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing for Java-based systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity and ICT compliance.
• Align testing with business and project goals.
• Maintain documentation for safety and quality audits.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and teamwork.
• Collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.

🧠 Required Technical Skills

• ISTQB certification (mandatory).
• 10+ years total testing experience (manual & automated).
• Languages: English C1, French/Dutch A1 minimum.

• HP-ALM / HP-UFT
• Selenium
• Agile/Scrum (
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / EN 50.128 / ISO 27001.
