The Newbuilding Department is involved from the preliminary design stage. Fleet managers are responsible for the maintenance and equipment of the existing fleet. Every project is different and each time the optimal configuration is put together. And if it doesn't exist, we make it ourselves
Your Role
As a
Project Engineer
within our Technical Division, you are responsible for coordinating and following up various technical conversion and conversion projects in order to guarantee the operational availability of ships and equipment. This in accordance with the specifications set by the Operations Division and within the planned time and budget.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:
Managing the technical tasks for your assigned ship or multiple ships and equipment on board, in consultation with the Fleet Manager. These include:
The technical preparation of repair, conversion and refurbishment projects and monitoring the execution.
You are employed from our central offices in Aalst/Hofstade and are willing, depending on the phase and needs on the project, to travel abroad for shorter periods (usually 2-3 weeks). This will include following up on activities at local shipyards or with suppliers and subcontractors.
