Service-ingenieur

Service Engineer (Mechatronics) – KONFIDI

Because the world's best diamond machines deserve the world's best service.

Who is KONFIDI?

We build machines for the diamond industry – small team, big impact. Our reputation? Unmatched quality and service. We're a family business with global reach, obsessed with being the best – for our customers, our team, and our suppliers. (Yes, we even aim to be the best taxpayers. Overachievers, we know.)

Our deal:

• Respect, trust, flexibility – from both sides.

• Room to grow (and to mess up, because that's how we learn).

• No corporate BS. Just smart people, cool tech, and a shared mission: make the impossible routine.

What's the job really like?

You're the face of KONFIDI – installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our machines on-site worldwide (50% travel max, your preferences matter). You'll:

• Fix stuff: Mechanical, electrical, laser alignment – you're the detective who solves the puzzle.

• Train clients: Teach them to love our machines as much as we do.

• Improve stuff: When you're not traveling, you'll help develop and automate our products. (Yes, we'll teach you to code if you're rusty.)

• Own your work: Start with supervision, then take the lead when you're ready.

Why it's awesome:

• No two days are the same. One week you're in Antwerp, the next in Cape Town.

• Your ideas matter. See a problem? Fix it. Have an improvement? Build it.

• We've got your back. Training, tools, and a team that's as invested in your success as you are.

Who are you?

Must-haves:

• Degree in electromechanics (or equivalent experience in machine building).

• You speak "motor" and "Client" fluently.

• Fluent English (our machines speak it too).

• Passport ready. You're excited by new cultures, not scared by them.

Nice-to-haves (but don't stress):

• Humor and humility. We're serious about work, not ourselves.

• A knack for explaining tech to non-techies. (Our clients will love you.)

• C# (or similar) skills – enough to debug or automate. (We'll help you level up.)

• The guts to say, "I don't know… yet."

Dealbreakers:

• Ego. We're all learning here.

• Fear of airports. (Or willingness to fake it.)

Our offer: (because we reward problem-solvers)

• €2800 – €4500/month + company car – dependent on experience.

• Attractive benefits package – meal vouchers, laptop, group insurance, 32+ holidays, and more. (Yes, we spoil our team.).

• Flexible hours – for a stress-free start of the day.

• Expense allowances – because we cover the extras.

• Innovative workspace – because mediocrity isn't our thing.

• Flexibility. Need a month without travel? We'll make it work.

• A team that's got your back – no micromanaging, just trust.

• The chance to grow into automation, R&D, or leadership. (Your call.)

How we hire (aka "No BS Process"):

  • Send your CV to Make it personal and creative – we're humans, not robots. (Skip the cover letter; everyone says they're "motivated and fast learners." Show us instead.)

  • Anonymous review. We strip names/genders/ages to focus on what you can do.

  • Casual chat first. Let's see if we click.

  • Deep dive second. If we both like what we hear, we'll talk shop.

Pro tip: Use AI to polish your CV. We did for this ad. (But don't lie – we'll find out, and it's awkward for everyone.)
