Validation Engineer

About The Role

As a Validation Engineer, you define and oversee the validation approach for your domain(s), including virtual validation. You sign-off on the validation results for your domain at SOP or other milestones and ensure the execution of the extended product design validation test plan, ensuring milestones are met. Your expertise will guide the organization by providing work instructions on specific technical cases.

You transform abstract test needs into actionable test requests and ensure high efficiency by converting long-term plans into weekly strategies, resolving roadblocks that arise. You prepare, coordinate, perform data analysis, and report development test results while building knowledge of European testing facilities.

Cross-functional collaboration will be key in overcoming challenges and achieving success.

Key responsibilities

Define and implement the validation approach for assigned domains, including virtual validation.

• Plan, execute, and sign off on product design validation tests and milestones.
• Translate test needs into actionable test requests and perform analysis and reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and work instructions to the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve roadblocks and ensure efficient progress.
• Build and maintain knowledge of testing facilities across Europe.

What we're looking for

We are seeking candidates with a Master’s degree in Automotive, Electro-Mechanical, or equivalent experience, and a strong interest in automotive innovation. You should have:

• 5+ years of automotive sector experience
• Familiarity in automotive testing and facilities
• Experience with Hybrid Powertrains and Automatic Transmission
• Team leadership experience - Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English
• Familiarity with tools such as VECTOR CANape, CANalyser, AVL-CRETA, INCA, and MATLAB is required.
