Segment Specialist Construction Machinery

To support the continued growth of our Africa Division, we are looking for a Segment Specialist Construction Machinery – a strategic and driven professional who will play a key role in developing and executing commercial initiatives across the African market.



Your Mission


As a Segment Specialist Construction Machinery, you will be responsible for developing data-driven marketing strategies that drive business growth, strengthen our dealer network, and increase Komatsu’s market presence across Africa. You will work closely with Regional Managers, distributors, and internal departments to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns and initiatives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Collect and analyze market intelligence information
  • Set up commercial campaigns & actions tailored to regional market specificities
  • Develop training materials, deliver webinars, and organize workshops for the Africa Dealer Network and KEISA teams
  • Track campaign performance and optimize strategies for maximum impact
  • Collaborate with Parts, Service, and Extended Warranty departments to create integrated customer solutions
  • Conduct regular field visits to distributors and customers to gather insights and strengthen relationships
  • Represent Komatsu at customer sites and ensure smooth communication among all stakeholders


Your Profile


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (required)
  • MBA or advanced degree

Experience:

  • 3–4 years of experience in the construction equipment industry (OEM or distributor)
  • Proven experience in distributor network development or dealer support
  • Experience working in Africa

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and commercial acumen
  • Fluency in English (mandatory); French is an asset
  • Flexible, proactive, and results-oriented approach
  • Culturally aware and able to adapt to diverse environments
  • Reliable team player with a pragmatic mindset
