KMOP is looking for a Project Officer, to support the implementation and administration of social impact and innovation projects funded by international donors (e.g., Erasmus+, CERV, AMIF, Horizon Europe, Interreg Europe), based at KMOP Policy Center in Brussels. KMOP Policy Center was established in Brussels in 2020, with the aim of conducting in-depth research, producing impactful, evidence-based policies, and advocating on social issues as an extension of KMOP. As Project Officer, you will contribute to the smooth and efficient implementation of EU-funded projects by providing comprehensive administrative, operational, and coordination support. You will assist in day-to-day project management, and communication with partners and stakeholders, while ensuring compliance with EU guidelines and internal procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and enjoys working in a collaborative, multicultural environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative and operational support across all phases of project implementation
- Support the financial monitoring of projects, including processing and filing of invoices, timesheets and travel expenses
- Assist with the preparation of reports, documentation, and other deliverables according to EU guidelines and internal procedures
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and travel (bookings, materials preparation) both in Belgium and abroad
- Maintain and update internal project documentation and project management tools
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. finance, communications) and project partners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Support the organization’s presence in local and international events, including travel when required
- Provide general support in the coordination of project activities under the guidance of the Project Manager
- Act as point of contact for external stakeholders on operational matters
- Assist in the drafting and proofreading of communication materials and presentations in English and French
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate in a field relevant to KMOP’s program areas (such as Project Management, Social Sciences, Economics, Public Policy or related fields). A postgraduate degree will be considered an asset
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative/project support, ideally in EU-funded or international projects
- Fluent in French (C1 or above) and English (C1 minimum) – any additional European language will be considered an asset
- Good understanding of EU project cycles, basic financial principles and project reporting
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Availability to travel within Europe occasionally for project meetings and events
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, multicultural environment
