About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and analytical Freelance Business Controller. In this role, you’ll act as a key financial partner for management, providing insights that drive strategic and operational decisions. You’ll combine your strong financial expertise with a hands-on mentality to translate data into actionable business advice.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor financial performance and identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
• Prepare monthly reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Support the budgeting and planning process, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Challenge and advise management on cost control and investment decisions.
• Develop dashboards and financial models to support data-driven decision-making.
• Collaborate with various departments (Sales, Operations, HR) to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a controlling or financial analysis role.
• Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills — able to translate numbers into clear insights.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP) is a plus.
• Proactive, curious, and eager to make an impact.
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a strong asset.
