Your Role
As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact solutions, particularly within the Food & Beverage industry. You’ll be responsible for process design, multidisciplinary coordination, and on-site commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and performance across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project deliverables to define process requirements
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts
- Confirm design requirements with clients and stakeholders
- Create 2D/3D designs for piping systems and process equipment using hygienic design principles
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Perform process simulations and troubleshoot issues
- Create specifications for piping, insulation, instruments, and equipment
- Produce tender/RFQ documents and validate Material Take Offs (MTOs)
- Liaise with suppliers on specifications, design, and delivery
- Prepare and complete project plans
- Propose design improvements and perform quality assurance
- Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders
- Conduct risk assessments including FMEA, HAZOP, and LOPA
- Develop Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Oversee on-site commissioning including mechanical completion, punch listing, cold/hot commissioning, PAT, and final handover
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Process Engineering (Food & Beverage industry preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
- Excellent English communication skills
- Proficiency in generating PFDs, P&IDs, and performing process calculations
- Strong modeling skills for plant layout and mechanical design
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, production)
- Team-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Advanced time management capabilities
- Skilled in 2D and 3D CAD systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
- Willingness to travel, relocate, and participate in business trips
