Network Security Engineer

Network & Security Engineer - Leuven Region - Hybrid Working

Your role:

• You will be the subject matter expert in networking within the operations team, technically leading a team of network engineers
• Responsible for leading projects related to network and security solutions, and overseeing the design and implementation of services, while ensuring the stability, security, and performance of network and IT ecosystems
• Build focused position (90%) with some run elements as well

Your background:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in IT, Computer Science, or other related fields
• 5+ years' experience in similar roles
• Strong knowledge in Networking (Routers, Switches, Wireless Networks, Network Access Control, Load Balancing, Software Defined Network) with Juniper, Huawei, or Cisco
• Experience in security and firewalling with Fortinet, CheckPoint, or Palo Alto - relevant certifications will be beneficial
• Knowledge of Azure Cloud - ideally hold a certification
• The ideal candidate will have experience in technical and/or people management
• Fluent in English and Dutch
