, we're on a mission to make kitchens more sustainable — without compromising taste, cost control, or guest satisfaction. We're building tools and insights that help chefs, facility managers, and sustainability leads cut food-related CO₂ fast and at scale.

We're looking for a 
Technical Co-Founder / Senior Developer
 who doesn't just want to code, but wants to co-build. You'll own core parts of our SaaS platform , React, TypeScript, cloud) and keep a small legacy Python codebase running smoothly in the short term while we plan its migration.

This role isn't just a job. It's a chance to shape Ecotarian as a co-owner, with shares as your compensation.

What you'll do

• Build and scale Ecotarian's SaaS platform backend, React frontend, TypeScript throughout).
• Design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure (IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, cost control).
• Maintain a small legacy Python service (bug fixes, minor enhancements, reliability) and lead the plan to refactor/retire or rewrite it where sensible.
• Translate customer needs into simple, robust product increments; ship fast, measure, iterate.
• Contribute to the product & tech roadmap; make architecture decisions that balance speed, cost, and sustainability.
• Grow into bigger shoes—from lead developer to CTO-level—depending on your ambition.

What we're looking for

• A self-starter who loves food, tech, and sustainability.
• Strong experience with 
  , React, and TypeScript
  .
• Hands-on with 
  cloud infrastructure
  (AWS/GCP/Azure), CI/CD, and observability.
• SaaS experience
  : multi-tenant patterns, security, data privacy, integrations.
• Comfortable with 
  Python
   for short-term maintenance (e.g., FastAPI/Flask/Django scripts, data pipelines, or CLI tooling).
• A good eye for UI/UX details
   — able to craft user-friendly interfaces that chefs and managers enjoy using.
• Pragmatic, entrepreneurial, and happy to own problems end-to-end.
• Nice-to-haves: PostgreSQL, Prisma/TypeORM, GraphQL/REST APIs, data viz, carbon/LCAs.
