System Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking a System Engineer to design, implement, and optimize IT infrastructure that supports organizational growth and strategic objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable, while driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• System Administration: Deploy, configure, and manage Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.
• Infrastructure Operations: Monitor and maintain network, storage, and virtualization platforms, ensuring high performance and availability.
• Technical Support: Provide Level 2/3 support, resolving complex issues quickly and effectively.
• Automation & Scripting: Build and maintain automation scripts/tools to streamline deployments and operations.
• Security & Compliance: Apply cybersecurity best practices, ensure compliance with industry standards, and safeguard infrastructure.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate system documentation, manuals, incident logs, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Collaboration: Partner with development, network, and security teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
• Innovation: Research and recommend emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and architecture.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience with Windows Server, Linux, and Unix environments.
• Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a disciplined approach to documentation and processes.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a System Engineer or in a similar IT role.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCE, CompTIA Security+).
