The role

The
Finance Analyst
shall play an important role in managing financial accounts at EIT Digital group companies. Responsibilities encompass managing finance accounts of EIT Digital IVZW and it's legal entities, facilitating legal, financial and operational processes, including contract management and invoicing of customers and partners. Additionally, this role involves supporting the Finance team throughout the grant management cycle, in particular for reporting to public funding agencies.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support for finance, procurement and operations teams, in collaboration with peers in the EIT Digital organisation;
  • Accountable for efficient and effective administrative support related to execution of EIT Digital financial, procurement and operational tasks;
  • Responsible for documentation, accounting, controlling and reporting of programs and activities and archives maintenance;
  • Provide administrative support with logistics;
  • Support EIT Digital teams and EIT Digital's partners on financial and partnership related matters;
  • Prepare contracts/internal grant agreements/amendments with Partners and trigger the related financial transactions;
  • Assure an effective registration of new partner organizations with EIT Digital and EIT;
  • Support the preparation and submission of the cost reports of EIT Digital to the various funding agencies and support the audit and reporting processes.
  • Support accounting activities and audits;
  • Recommend cost-reduction measures as well as making use of new tools and methodologies to increase efficiencies of financial operations.

Qualifications and experience

  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance, business administration or related field. MSc is an asset;
  • At least 2 year of relevant experience. Sound understanding of administrative processes. Experience with project cycle management and financial reporting is a great asset;
  • Experience with Horizon Europe grant management and EU funding rules and guidelines;
  • Experience working in fast paced environment and/or in an international organisation is an advantage;
  • The candidate is to be proactive, service-oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and motivated to strive for operational excellence and full compliance;
  • Attention to details, good communication and outstanding organisational skills. Proficient in MS Office tools and applications as well as common virtual presence tools and technologies.

Languages

Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of French or Dutch is highly desirable.

Place of employment

Preferably at EIT Digital HQ in Brussels, although location at one of the EIT Digital European offices with easy connection for travel in Europe might be considered.
