Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Security Engineer
to strengthen the protection of distributed retail IT environments. The role will focus on designing and implementing security controls for systems such as POS, local networks, and cloud-based services, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Architecture: Design and document scalable architectures for retail environments, with annual reviews.
• Configuration & Hardening: Develop and maintain security baselines and hardening guides, updated quarterly.
• Vulnerability Management: Implement scanning and patching processes, including monthly assessments and remediation reports.
• Incident Response: Create and maintain incident response playbooks tailored to retail threats, with regular testing and drills.
• Training & Awareness: Deliver targeted security awareness sessions and materials for retail staff, bi-annually and on demand.
• Monitoring & Reporting: Deploy monitoring solutions and provide regular security posture reports through continuous monitoring and monthly updates.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in security engineering, ideally in retail or other distributed IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and incident response.
• Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or PCI-DSS.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning, patch management, and monitoring tools.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
