Marketing Sourcing Manager


Your mission
Role introduction
The successful candidate will be the primary point of contact for WFA's Sourcing Forum and will work on evolving the marketing sourcing function within WFA and across the wider industry.

The role offers huge growth potential and provides the right candidate with a unique opportunity to act as a conduit for a network of diverse personalities from various backgrounds around the world, driving projects with the ambition of positively shaping the industry.

The role can be based in Brussels or London, but international travel will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Writing and updating content relevant to the group's priorities, such as PowerPoint presentations and thought leadership reports;
  • Organising and delivering online or in-person events and producing meeting overviews including the key take outs from the member-led discussions;
  • Responding to requests by leveraging the collective knowledge of the network, for example, through member surveys and benchmarks;
  • Managing CRM-driven communications and direct outreach to the membership regarding recent and upcoming WFA initiatives relevant to our sourcing community;
  • Collaborating with industry partners at both global and local levels, where appropriate, on industry initiatives;
  • Growing the WFA network by recruiting new members.

Your profile
Personal Abilities & Experience

  • 5+years' experience of agency management / marketing procurement with either an agency, consultancy, client or trade association background;
  • Service-oriented mentality that prioritises responsiveness;
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills, with public speaking and presentation skills;
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • A results-driven self-starter who can take initiative and lead projects autonomously;
  • Analytical skills in interpreting data, qualitative research and report writing, mainly in PowerPoint;
  • Curious by nature with the appetite to seek out new and innovative voices and solutions;
  • Personable and highly collaborative;
  • Ideally a balance of skills across data analysis and more nuanced qual research and report writing;
  • Native level English is essential, other languages a bonus.
  • Existing right to work in Brussels or London e.g. with a valid working visa already in place.

WFA's marketing services team helps members in two key ways:

  • We improve the effectiveness and efficiency of client-side marketing investment by leveraging the collective intelligence of the only global network of marketers;
  • We develop and lead industry initiatives designed to improve the global marketing industry for clients and the whole ecosystem.

Practically this is delivered upon in a number of ways, including: interactive forums, working sessions, benchmarking, member research, online tools, best practice and advisory services. Industry leadership initiatives are typically driven through multi-stakeholder programmes and working-groups.

The 'Sourcing Forum' brings together over 2,000 global and regional client-side marketing procurement leaders. This network is strategically important part of the WFA and has contributed greatly towards its growth over the past years. We are looking for a candidate to support this growth and enhance our level of service to this expanding community.

The successful candidate will be part of a global team of nine and will report into the Director, Asia Pacific Marketing Services and Global Sourcing, who is based in Singapore.
