Facility & Fleet Manager

Function

As Facility & Fleet Manager, your main mission will be to manage the infrastructure and vehicle fleet across our three Belgian sites: 2 in Wavre and 1 in Kontich. You will regularly interact with all departments of the company, with a particular focus on HSE and Production.

You will be responsible for supervising a technical employee who organizes and carries out daily maintenance and interventions. You will report directly to our Deputy General Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building infrastructure management: overseeing the full process from drafting specifications for contractors, cost and deadline tracking, to supervising the implementation and final acceptance of building works.
  • Company vehicle fleet management (approx. 100 vehicles): acting as the interface with leasing companies, monitoring fuel consumption, scheduling regular checks, managing renewals, arrivals and departures, etc.
  • Procurement for general services: negotiating contracts, validating suppliers, and conducting supplier evaluations for all facility-related purchases.
  • Collaboration with the HSE advisor to ensure compliance and safety of infrastructure (buildings, energy installations), safety systems (fire suppression systems, access control, etc.), and fixed installations (e.g., anti-static mats).
  • Liaising with external service providers: including cleaning companies, green space maintenance, waste collection services, inspection and control bodies, as well as local and federal authorities.
  • Delivering a high-quality service for employees: assessing employee needs in terms of workplace environment and conditions, and implementing appropriate improvements.
  • Proposing and initiating continuous improvement projects to enhance the quality of our buildings and the overall performance of the Facility Services department.

  • You handle critical or emergency situations calmly and methodically.You have at least 3 years of experience as a Facility & Fleet Manager in an ISO 9001 and/or 14001 certified industrial company.
  • You possess solid knowledge and/or experience in insurance, urban planning, and environmental regulations.
  • You have a strong command of European and Belgian HSE legislation (Wallonia and Flanders), such as the General Regulation on Electrical Installations (RGIE) and Royal Decrees related to workplace conditions.
  • You are well-versed in ISO 9001/14001:2015 standards.
  • You are highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and have experience working with an ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English is considered a strong asset.
