Technician


Relocation Available to Belgium

The Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the fleet of cranes, rolling stock, and lifting equipment to ensure that a high standard of maintenance is consistently achieved. Operating from the local repair center or workshop, the Technician works to prevent and resolve equipment failures in compliance with Sarens' quality, safety, health, and environmental regulations, as well as local legislation and manufacturers' guidelines.

  • PROFILE

  • Receive and offload all major components.

  • Prepare, locate, lift, and install major components.
  • Prepare and stage the hub; lift, handle, and torque blades as required.
  • Complete all service reports and related documentation daily.
  • Complete and have daily work sheets signed off by the supervisor/manager.
  • Report opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Identify required tools and parts for each assigned task and ensure re-certification of equipment and tools.
  • Check availability of all required tools and parts before starting work; participate in toolbox talks and daily team briefings.
  • Follow all work instructions, procedures, safety codes of practice, employer OH&S and environmental requirements, and statutory rules and regulations.

Requirements

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the different components.
  • Ability and willingness to work on weekends, public holidays, shift work, or on-call duty as required.
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Willingness to train others as needed.
  • Competent in Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Effective problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Diploma in a related discipline from an accredited institution, or ITI.
