Medior Senior Java Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION: -

Client is looking for an experienced Java Developer to reinforce its team working for the end client FOD BOSA in Brussels. The successful candidate will integrate a dynamic Agile/SCRUM environment and contribute to the development and maintenance of critical applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs in Java (17/21) with Spring Boot.

Contribute to frontend development with Angular or

Ensure integration of databases (PostgreSQL, NEO4J) and optimize data flows.

Collaborate on DevOps processes using Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Maven, Git.

Implement monitoring and search solutions with Elasticsearch/Kibana.

Contribute to testing, analysis, and support activities as part of a T-shaped team.

Work in an Agile/SCRUM setup with Jira and participate in sprint activities.

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in Java 17/21, Spring, Spring Boot, MVC

Proven experience with REST API development

Frontend knowledge: JavaScript, Angular, , HTML5, Bootstrap, JSON

Database skills: PostgreSQL, NEO4J GraphDB

Monitoring & search: Elasticsearch/Kibana

DevOps stack: Docker, OpenShift, Jenkins, Maven, Git

Bonus: Experience with Vaadin

Strong team player with ability to work independently

Excellent communication and collaboration in an Agile/SCRUM environment

Stress-resistant and flexible (willing to contribute to analysis, support, testing if needed)

Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving mindset

DevOps-oriented profile (development + operations/infrastructure awareness)

Languages

Fluent in French or Dutch, with good English

Profile

7+ years of professional experience in Java development

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Solid experience in Agile/SCRUM environments
