Life Insurance Data Tester – Hybrid, Brussels

We are currently looking for an experienced Life Insurance Data Tester to join our client's Business Change & Monitoring team within the Life Insurance Division.

This role supports portfolio migration and commercial development projects in a team of actuaries, business analysts, and testers.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed test plans and test cases for data validation activities.
• Execute manual and automated data testing procedures.
• Ensure traceability and full coverage of test scenarios, documenting all testing evidence.
• Design and implement SQL queries or automated scripts to support testing efficiency.
• Collaborate with business owners, actuaries, and IT to validate results and align with business expectations.
• Manage and prepare test data in mainframe environments.
• Review and challenge data migration testing from other phases to ensure quality and consistency.
• Support defect analysis, reporting, and coordination of corrective actions.
• Provide regular progress reports on testing activities and outcomes.
• Generate data extracts and reports for migrated life insurance portfolios.

Profile

• Proven experience in life insurance data analysis and testing.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and migrations.
• Excellent command of SQL or other query languages for data validation.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within the life insurance sector.
• Strong commitment to quality, deadlines, and accuracy.
• Autonomous, structured, and solution-oriented with strong analytical skills.
• Fluent in English and French (Dutch is an asset).
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with actuaries, IT, and management.
