Executive Search Consultant – CFO practice

Ebbinge is a leading executive search firm based in Brussels, specialized in identifying top-tier investment professionals for Private Equity funds and senior executives for the entrepreneurial companies these funds invest in. As our Brussels office continues to grow, we are looking for an Executive Search Consultant to strengthen our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and a keen interest in the financial leadership of companies. You will focus on CFO searches—key roles that drive strategic decision-making and long-term value creation.

What will you do?

As a Consultant, you will lead executive search assignments from start to finish. You will work closely with clients and candidates, and play a pivotal role in shaping leadership teams. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end search processes for CFO and senior finance roles
• Building trusted relationships with Private Equity funds and portfolio companies
• Conducting in-depth interviews and assessments of candidates
• Advising clients on talent strategy and market dynamics
• Collaborating with Research Associates to develop search strategies and market insights
• Contributing to business development and thought leadership within the CFO domain

What do you bring?

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A sharp eye for leadership, business models, and organizational dynamics
• A university degree and relevant professional experience (e.g. in executive search, finance, consulting, or Private Equity)
• A genuine interest in financial leadership and the role of CFOs in value creation
• An entrepreneurial mindset and the ambition to grow in a high-trust, high-impact environment
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French; professional proficiency in English
