About the Role:
Clear are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team, focusing on data centre projects in Charleroi. You will lead the commissioning, testing, and start-up of electrical systems, including busbars, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear, ensuring maximum reliability, safety, and performance in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commissioning and start-up of data centre electrical systems, including busbar installations, power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear.
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of electrical installations to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
- Develop and execute commissioning plans, checklists, and reports specific to high-availability facilities.
- Provide technical support during installation and handover, addressing issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and best practices for critical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams, providing technical guidance and progress updates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in electrical commissioning, preferably in data centres or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of busbar systems, low and medium voltage distribution, UPS, generators, and switchgear.
- Hands-on experience with testing, troubleshooting, and start-up of complex electrical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently on-site and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
