Your Role

As our Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions that shape the future of our factories. You will:

• Lead automation projects from concept to commissioning (FAT/SAT).
• Develop and implement PLC software (mainly Siemens TIA Portal) and conduct MIO testing.
• Review electrical schematics and ensure compliance with Decospan standards.
• Design interfaces between systems to enable smart data processing.
• Prepare instrument lists, safety matrices, and electrical drawings for modifications.
• Support technicians during execution and troubleshooting on site.
• Share expertise with colleagues through training and coaching.
• Keep up with the latest technologies by visiting trade fairs and engaging with suppliers.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in industrial automation/engineering.
• Strong skills in PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal), electrical systems, and ideally safety systems.
• Experience with E-plan is a strong asset.
• A proactive and entrepreneurial mindset – you enjoy turning ideas into working solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English (any other European language is a plus).
• Willingness to travel regularly to our European sites.
