Human Resources Manager


Job title: HR Manager

Location: Belgium

About the client and role

Our client, an Automotive supplier, is in search of a HR Manager. The role demands strong employee relations, performance management, engagement, workforce planning, compliance, and change management.


Responsibilities


Change Management & Organizational Optimization

  • Support and drive change initiatives to improve efficiency and structure.
  • Oversee internal transfers to optimize workforce deployment.
  • Advise and support manager during organizational changes.
  • Promote empowerment by delegating responsibilities to the right level.


Employee Administration

  • Ensure personal data collection complies with local laws and standards.
  • Manage the full onboarding process for new hires.
  • Handle terminations, layoffs, and offboarding with legal compliance.


Payroll Oversight

  • Ensure payroll processes comply with labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate data sharing with HR, Finance, and payroll venders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection laws, including GDPR.


Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, from sourcing to hiring.
  • Oversee onboarding to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze results to improve retention strategies.


Performance Management

  • Support goal setting and performance reviews aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and track performance improvement plans for underperforming staff.
  • Coordinate intern evaluations to strengthen the talent pipeline.


Employee Retention and Engagement

  • Design and manage recognition programs and events to boost morale.
  • Develop engagement strategies and implement action plans based on employee feedback.


Capability Building & Development

  • Create and manage annual training plans to strengthen workforce capabilities.
  • Identify learning needs and deploy targeted training initiatives.
  • Focus on critical role and processes to ensure organizational continuity.
  • Facilitate identification and development of high-potential employees.


Employee relations

  • Lead collective bargaining processes in alignment with company goals and local laws.
  • Oversee the negotiation, implantation, and monitoring of agreements.
  • Lead disciplinary actions with fairness and consistency.
  • Conduct investigations related to employee issues and ensure proper documentation.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree in HR Management or equivalent is preferred.
  • Engineering degree would be an asset.
  • Proven experience in multi-functional HR roles within manufacturing environment, preferably Automotive.
  • Language Proficiency: English. (German + French a plus)
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Workday (HRIS) would be an advantage.
