organizations in navigating the complex institutional environment of the European Union. We operate across a variety of sectors: tech, telecommunications, creative industries, transport, agri-food, chemicals, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, services, and security/defense.
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are recruiting a Public Affairs Manager to strengthen our Chemical practice. The Manager will play a critical role in leading and structuring internal processes, managing high-profile client accounts, and overseeing cross-functional teams. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic public affairs initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving operational excellence within the team.
Main Responsibilities
- Strong expertise and established network within the Chemicals sector, particularly with EU policymakers and stakeholders involved in chemical regulation.
- Track record of successfully managing and delivering campaigns across critical chemical issues, with specific focus on REACH & CLP.
- Outstanding advisory skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, managing relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Design and implement comprehensive public affairs programs that align with client and organizational goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and media representatives.
Profile
- You have 5-7 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, corporate communications, or a similar role, with proven leadership experience in managing teams and structuring internal processes.
- You have a strong understanding of European chemical regulation and the regulatory process.
- You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications Business Administration, or a related field.
- You have an excellent level of English. French or German is a plus.
- Your are curious and able to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
- You have strong client relationship management skills with a track record of delivering results.
- You are a strategic thinker, you demonstrate good social skills, and are able to build momentum in a campaign.
