Retail Merchandising Analyst

Guided by an inner creative compass that is unaffected by fleeting trends, Dries Van Noten is renowned for his signature eclecticism—a fearless juxtaposition of print, weave, color, and cut that yields captivating results transcending time and fashion cycles. In 2022, the brand expanded into beauty and fragrance with the launch of gender-fluid fragrances and refillable lipsticks. In June 2024, Dries Van Noten presented his final collection as Creative Director but continues to contribute to the brand. In December 2024, Julian Klausner was appointed Creative Director.

The Opportunity

As Retail Merchandising Analyst, you will support the Retail Merchandising Manager in shaping the retail in-store product strategies that reflect the essence of Dries Van Noten. With a sharp eye for detail and a deep understanding of product performance, you will identify opportunities, support assortment planning, and maintain the brand’s high standards across our global boutique network.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse product performance across all categories—RTW, Shoes, Bags, Accessories, and Beauty—for both Men’s and Women’s collections.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, and seasonal performance reports by store, product category, and key item.
  • Identify best sellers, slow movers, and missed opportunities; propose concrete actions to enhance performance.
  • Support post-buy analysis and contribute to seasonal hindsight reviews with the Retail Buyer
  • Coordinate inter-store transfers based on performance data, client needs, and stock levels.
  • Contribute to replenishment strategies for core and carryover items, including commercial beauty bestsellers.
  • Support seasonal assortment planning and OTB definition.
  • Collaborate with store teams to gather qualitative feedback and integrate it into performance reporting.
  • Work cross-functionally with logistics, visual merchandising, and retail operations to ensure efficient product flow.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date reporting tools and dashboards.

The tasks above are not conclusive and may change according to the needs of the company. A flexible approach towards tasks and responsibilities is always needed.

Profile

  • 2 years of experience in a merchandising, planning, or business analysis role within a premium or luxury retail environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of retail performance indicators and inventory management.
  • Excellent Excel and reporting tool skills; knowledge of retail systems is a plus.
  • Clear communication and collaborative approach in cross-functional environments.
  • A passion for fashion, culture, and the Dries Van Noten aesthetic.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
