Compliance Officer - Finance

In Puurs you will join a team of 160 loyal and passionate colleagues with a shared vision: To be the leading, sustainable private label coffee roaster in Europe. Today, Beyers - as part of the Sucafina Group - has grown into the largest coffee roaster in Belgium and a major player in the European private label coffee market. Management and training He has a strong knowledge and background in the industry and is an experienced manager with years of experience in the coffee industry. Like all managers at Beyers, his door is open, and his communication is open and direct. He expects you to think and work both analytically and communicatively to take Sustainability to the next level Your training will be determined based on your knowledge and experience. Of course, we provide the necessary onboarding and introduction to various team members As Sustainability Officer you will be responsible for defining & driving the sustainability roadmap and collaborate throughout the organization together with Sucafina. You will partner with a broad set of internal teams including sales, marcom, finance, procurement, Green Coffee, Quality etc… with the goal to embed sustainability into everything we do and ensure the sustainability roadmap is translated into best-in-class projects in order to improve performance over time and achieve our ambition. You define & manage the sustainability program & its roadmap to realize our ambitions You set & monitor short-term and long-term sustainability goals and translate them into clear KPI’s, perform the follow-up and ensure proper reporting across the company and stakeholders You are responsible for sustainability related audits (RFA, FT, Organic) and support the collection of data for other frameworks (e.g. You respond to surveys and inquiries from customers and stakeholders on sustainability matters You collaborate & educate throughout the organization to embed sustainability in all we do, ensure ambitions are met and our reputation is positively fed You engage with external stakeholders to remain informed on market developments, regulation & new legislation to make sure compliance is achieved and our roadmap is optimized. You engage with external stakeholders to remain informed on market developments, regulation & new legislation to make sure compliance is achieved and our roadmap is optimized You follow national and European regulations on sustainability and ensure timely compliance with managing business risks You remain competent and up-to-date on sustainability best practices through research, continuous learning and training You have a bachelor or master degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience in Sustainability, CSR, Quality, and/or Compliance You have hands-on knowledge in the area of ESG reporting, carbon accounting, and EU policies (e.g. Excellent interpersonal and project management skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills You are strong in communication (verbal, written and presentation skills) in English.
