Financial Controller Europe & Africa

Robert Half Talent Solutions is currently looking for a Financial Controller Europe & Africa (m/f/x) for a permanent position based in Zaventem .

As Financial Controller Europe & Africa (m/f/x) you will be responsible for:

• Accurate & timely reporting of monthly financials, variance analysis for EU&A
  • Monthly US GAAP reporting, consolidation and submission to US Corp HQ - review of EU&A financials
  • Local reporting: ensure timely submission of local, annual reports
  • Review monthly closing task of European principal entity (NSEP Europe) and review balance sheet accounts different legal entities
  • Prepare detailed analysis of monthly P&L and balance sheet fluctuations
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting (SOX) in areas of responsibility
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for audits of internal controls and financial statements
• Healthy treasury position
  • Reviews regional monthly cash flow forecast
  • Monitors and maintains intercompany balances to minimize FX exposure
  • Analysis on different payment types (credit cards, wires, etc.), share and discuss treasury reports with customer service manager EU&A
• Inventory management & scorecards
  • Review inventory balances and adjustments
  • Inventory variance analysis and give recommendations to operations manager to optimize efficiencies
• People management
  • Develop & lead team
  • Ensure succession planning
  • Maintain a healthy workplace

The required profile for the Financial Controller Europe & Africa (m/f/x) position:

• Minimum 10 years of relevant and progressive accounting experience
• Masters degree (Finance, Economics)
• International Accounting experience
• Excellent technical accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of internal controls
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Excellent knowledge of English. Any other European language is a plus
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Strong leadership skills, to lead and inspire a large international team

• Knowledge of SAP ERM software, experience with BPC a plus
• Experience with Blackline close automation software
