Leading eCommerce client now requires a Senior data Engineer to play a key role in enhancing and optimising their information systems, supporting large-scale data processing, and ensuring robust pipelines for business-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across Databricks, Azure, and AWS environments.
• Implement and support event sourcing architectures for real-time data streaming and processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources into the eCommerce information ecosystem.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across distributed systems.
• Provide technical expertise in modern data engineering practices and tools.

Key Requirements:

• Strong professional experience as a Data Engineer, ideally within large-scale or eCommerce environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Azure, and AWS.
• Proven experience implementing event sourcing and real-time data processing solutions.
• Solid understanding of data modelling, ETL pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in hybrid teams.

This is an initial 6-month contract role which provides daily rate of 630 euros.

In terms of working structure, this role is flexible with 1 day per week in their Brussels office and the rest remote.
