Our client is an innovative Belgian Swiss medical device company dedicated to improving patient
care and operating room efficiency through breakthrough imaging technology. The company
develops and commercializes an advanced imaging solution that enables real-time analysis of fresh
tissue samples, supporting a broad range of surgical and diagnostic applications across Europe and
the United States.
To support continued growth and strengthen the organization globally, we are looking for an
experienced:
Senior HR Manager / Director (Global) Reporting to the CFO, the HR leader will drive the
development and execution of global human resources strategies in line with business objectives.
This includes overseeing HR operations across multiple regions, implementing talent strategies,
and fostering a culture of excellence and inclusion. The role is office-based in Awans, Belgium, with
occasional travel to the Swiss offices and contact with the US team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Strategic HR Leadership:
o Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives. This involves
creating and implementing HR initiatives that support the company’s growth,
innovation, and competitive positioning in the medical device industry.
o Plan, lead, develop, coordinate, and implement policies, processing, training,
initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance
and strategic needs.
o Advising the executive team on HR-related matters, contributing to organizational
development strategies, and supporting the company's overall goals.
o Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business
objectives and drive growth.
• Payroll & Benefits:
o Management of payroll & benefits in 7-10 countries, maybe more over time.
o Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits packages that attract
and retain employees, as well as ensuring internal consistency and compliance
with relevant regulations.
• Recruitment:
o Lead recruitment efforts to attract and hire top talent, managing the full-cycle
recruitment process, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
o Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies in alignment with
organizational growth and workforce planning.
• Oversee organizational development and change management
o Implement performance evaluation processes, providing feedback and coaching,
and developing employee development plans
o Talent management
o Occupational health and safety
o Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiative, and drive culture in alignment
with CEO & CFO
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE
o Bachelor/university degree in business, economics, HR, philosophy
o Proven experience (>7y) in HR leadership: strong track record of success in leading
and managing HR functions, ideally between scale-up companies and major
corporations.
o Strong knowledge of HR principles and practices: expertise in talent acquisition,
employee relations, payroll, compensation and benefits, performance
management, and training and development.
o Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (Belgium, Swiss, and US).
o Experience with HRIS and other HR technologies
o Result driven
o Experience with organizational development and change management
o Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
o Ability to plan, organize and execute activities in a relevant field
o Hands-on, self-driven and autonomous
o Team oriented, adaptive and customer oriented
o Fluent communication in French and English (written/oral). Any other language is
a plus. In possession of a driving license and in possession of a valid EU work
permit.
