Senior Project Engineer

Prosource is currently looking for an IT/OT Project Engineer to join one of its clients located in Wallonia. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of industrial automation and IT infrastructure, contributing to the digital transformation of manufacturing operations.

As an IT/OT project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless integration of operational technologies (OT) with information technologies (IT). Your role will involve:

• Leading and coordinating IT/OT initiatives across departments.
• Supporting the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial IT systems (PLCs, automation platforms, network infrastructure).
• Developing and maintaining SCADA and MES/MOM applications (e.g., FactoryTalk, WinCC, OSIsoft PI).
• Resolving technical issues and proposing long-term solutions to improve system performance.
• Training stakeholders on the effective use of IT/OT systems.
• Enhancing automation and digitalization efforts through dashboards, reporting tools, and optimized data flows.
• Participating in continuous improvement projects, including software updates and system upgrades.
• Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure scalable and integrated solutions.

We are looking for someone with:

• A degree in engineering (industrial or civil), preferably with a focus on automation, electromechanics, or computer science.
• Hands-on experience in industrial automation environments, including control systems (PLC, MES, PI).
• Strong technical knowledge of networking, virtualization technologies, and third-party system integration.
• A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
