Head of Accounting – European HQ | Global Logistics Leader

We’re looking for a hands-on finance leader to take charge of controlling at the European headquarters of a global logistics group with 250+ offices worldwide.

In this role, you’ll combine strategic thinking with daily operational involvement. You’ll lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis but also stay close to the numbers, working side-by-side with the team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Head of Accounting - What you’ll do:

• Oversee daily accounting activities: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance across all jurisdictions.
• Lead the monthly and yearly financial close process, delivering accurate financial statements.
• Collaborate closely with controlling and finance leadership to ensure alignment.
• Coach and develop a team of accounting professionals.

Head of Accounting - What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years in accounting experience, ideally in a multinational setting.
• Comfortable working both strategically and operationally.
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
• Fluent in Dutch & English (French is a plus).
