Responsibilities and functional roles
The goal of the Project Manager’s job is the correct follow-up and roll-out of the projects assigned to him/her. This has to be done in line with the necessary attention to the P&L, planning, quality and customer relationship
The PM is the SPOC for the customer during the roll-out phase and attempts to create a positive relationship. The PM is also responsible for the execution of his/her projects within planning and budget with a continuous drive for quality. This can be done by making sure that the customer wishes remain within the scope of the project.
He/she will also issue the Purchase Orders towards the suppliers and subcontractors. He/she will also plan the activities of the service department (Engineering). The PM is therefore the contact person for these parties.
Position Context
The PM Support Officer is administratively responsible for monitoring a successful project initiation until an excellent project delivery to services. The support officer will provide full administrative support to the PMs and their projects, in accordance with the project methodology and templates.
This data allows them to easily report project status, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
They will also be responsible for some full administrative projects and small quotations to direct customers in accordance with the PMO Team Lead. This includes follow-up of the scope, planning, safety, and quality.
Budget Responsibility
Specific budget + order of magnitude: management of several Level 1 projects (budget < €100,000, 1 technology).
Limited within the amounts agreed for their projects. Outside of a project, the written agreement of the Head of Project Management or higher is mandatory.
