OT Security Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled OT Security Engineer to support our industrial and operational environments across multiple sites in Belgium. As part of a cross-functional security team, you’ll lead the implementation and management of cybersecurity controls within OT networks and production systems. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with NIS2, IEC 62443, and internal cyber risk frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage OT/ICS cybersecurity solutions in manufacturing or critical infrastructure environments
• Conduct OT asset discovery, segmentation, and risk assessments
• Deploy and configure firewalls, anomaly detection systems, and network monitoring tools (e.g., Nozomi, Claroty, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
• Support vulnerability management and patching strategies for ICS components
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to implement secure remote access (e.g., jump servers, VPN, MFA)
• Participate in incident response and forensic investigations in OT environments
• Provide technical input for NIS2 compliance readiness and OT security documentation
• Contribute to hardening of PLCs, SCADA, and DCS systems
• Ensure secure lifecycle management of OT assets, including backups and system recovery testing

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in OT security or industrial network engineering
• Deep understanding of ICS/SCADA environments, industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, PROFINET, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with industrial cybersecurity platforms (e.g., Nozomi, Claroty, Dragos)
• Knowledge of NIS2, ISO 27001, ISO 62443 or similar frameworks
• Strong experience with firewalls, segmentation (L2/L3), and network design
• Familiarity with Windows/AD environments in production networks
• Fluent in English; Dutch or French is a plus
• Certifications such as GICSP, IEC 62443, CISSP, or SANS ICS are advantageous

• Strong communication skills to liaise with engineering, IT, and plant operations teams
• Able to work autonomously and deliver within tight timelines in regulated environments
• Available for occasional travel between industrial sites in Belgium
