Financial Analyst - Private Equity Analytics

Rocksling Analytics is a tech company providing data-driven solutions for private equity investors. We help sophisticated institutions to access advanced analytics about the risks and returns of their private equity portfolios through our proprietary machine learning tools. We are part of the Clipway group.

We are urgently looking to expand our data analytics and extraction with a Financial Analyst in Private Equity Data / Analytics to join our team in Brussels, Belgium. Starting date ASAP.

The role involves working with private equity documents such as quarterly reports, capital accounts, and financial statements provided by fund managers. The person will:

• Find, capture, analyse and extract financial information about funds and underlying portfolio companies from financial reports to feed RockSling Analytics clients’ databases
• Be responsible for performing validation and quality checks to ensure the collected financial data meets the highest quality standards
• Perform financial analysis and valuation of portfolio companies held by fund managers

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or related field
• Deep understanding of corporate finance is a must
• Graduate or with an early experience in a similar role or in investments banking / private equity / consulting
• Strong interest in finance, investments, valuation, and private equity industry
• Strong understanding of financial statements, corporate finance, and accounting
• Strong financial modelling skills (LBOs etc)
• Strong Excel skills
• Previous experience with Capital IQ is a plus
• Exceptionally high attention to details and commitment to quality
• Willingness to work in financial data management and operations
• Ability to work under pressure, to meet deadlines, and to adapt to a fast-moving environment
• Fluent English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication skills, willingness to work in an international environment, and to train new colleagues
