Business Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions that shape the future of the digital industry.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Prospecting and managing leads: identifying and assessing project opportunities and collaborating with various teams to create technically suitable and innovative solutions.
  • Preparing financial models and offers: conducting analyses, preparing commercial offers, and leading negotiations for significant project contracts in collaboration with different departments.
  • Delivering input to commercial software solutions developments on tri-baggage solutions in order to improve functionality and earnings models.
  • Defining (commercial) strategy in collaboration with the Department Manager where to prioritize and invest for the future.
  • Building relationships: developing and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and providing persuasive proposals.
  • Building partnerships: creating new relations with external partners in order to offer a complete solution to our clients.
  • Contributing to a positive team dynamic: building strong partnerships with operational managers and ensuring a shared focus on achieving P&L objectives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A degree in civil, industrial, or commercial engineering or a master's in an economics-related field and a good technical understanding.
  • At least five years of experience in business development, sales, and commercial developments.
  • Analytical and organizational skills that enable you to manage complex projects, understand risks, and solve problems.
  • Knowledge and experience in technical design, project management, coordinating various stakeholders, and closing transactions is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of financial concepts.
  • Adept at building and maintaining relationships with (potential) clients.
  • Independent, flexible, and able to work in a multicultural/multilingual environment.
  • Fluent in English and French with a good knowledge of the second national language Dutch.
