Junior Embedded Software Engineer

Quarterhill Europe subsidiary Icoms Detections designs and manufactures non-repressive sensors for road traffic management based on microwave technology (radar), meeting the needs of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The Belgian company is the radar development hub of Quarterhill Inc., headquartered in Canada. 

To strengthen our team, we are recruiting a full-time Junior Radar Development Engineer. 

Tasks: 

• Development of embedded software on microcontrollers and DSP 
• Participation in the research and development of new products 
• Implementation of signal processing algorithms 
• Testing of new products and development of testing tools 
• Collaboration with the hardware team for integration 

Profile: 

• Completed studies in electrical engineering with a focus on electronics, RF and embedded systems 
• Experience with embedded C 
• Familiarity with transmission protocols (SPI, UART, RS-485, etc.) 
• Experience with C++ and Python is an asset 
• Problem-solving mindset  
• Proficiency in both oral and written French and English.
